We’ve talked about why you should watch K-dramas, and where you can stream them for free. Therefore, as Eid ul Adha comes upon us, you might want to spend this Eid trying out new TV shows or films. Local TV channels produce new serials especially for Eid, but if you’re anything like me, you don’t really like the content ARY Digital or Hum TV dishes out. So what’s the solution? Try out our top K-drama recommendations instead! These shows are all the right combinations of action, adventure, and fun, so we guarantee that you’ll keep watching!
K-drama #1: Crash Landing On You

The title says it all: our female lead literally crash lands above her hero when her paragliding adventure goes wrong! The twist? She was paragliding in South Korea, and the crash makes her end up in a tree in North Korea! In addition, our male lead is a high-ranking North Korean military officer. He decides to hide her from the North Korean government until he can get her back across the border safely. Not only does the plot sound exciting, but you can glimpse how the North Korean military might operate. This K-drama has received praise for portraying North Korea accurately through having a North Korean defector on their writing team. So, I don’t know about you, but just reading that last line made me want to watch it!
2. Kill Me, Heal Me

If you want twists, suspense, and something new incessantly going on in every episode, this is the show for you. Kill Me, Heal Me revolves around a man who has DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder). He essentially has seven different personalities, all acting in unpredictable ways. He can be a kind, ordinary man at one time, a violent and dangerous gangster the next! What’s more, the latter identity is on a mission to destroy the former! Our main lead tries his best to manage his life (lives?), all while keeping his mental illness a secret from his non-supportive family. A psychiatry student treats him and falls in love with his main identity. Packed with adventure, this K-drama will keep you on your toes because of how intriguing it is!
3. Pinocchio

This one is an old favorite of mine. Pinocchio gives you the inside scoop of how reporters work, and some repercussions that people might face because of the spread of misinformation or deliberate exaggeration on behalf of the reporters. Our male lead is a victim of this. So, he enters the media industry simply to get back at the reporter who destroyed his life but falls for her daughter instead. Our female lead is a Pinocchio, which means she hiccups whenever she lies, and therefore must only tell the truth. So, I don’t want to give too much away about this K-drama. Just know that it ties in a lot of complex family history, a desire for revenge, and has a strong plot that will keep you hooked!
…And that’s it! Those are my recommendations for the top K-dramas you can feast your eyes on this Eid! If you have any more suggestions about what k-dramas that can be included in this Eid-binging list, drop me a comment below! Happy watching 😊
