Mom, your smile resembles those two drops of milk in a cloud of coffee. You are jovial, humble, kind and incredibly beautiful. I take you for granted but you never stop caring. How is it that my pain hurts you? You laugh with me and you cry with me, you help me and you inspire me. But I often forget to thank you for the little things you do for me. So here it is- this one’s for you, mom! Thank you for being you!
Thank You, Mom, for Preparing My Meals
You are the first person in the house to get up and the last one to sleep. You wake up every day to make me breakfast and lunch before school. When I come home, you serve me my favorite meal. From Daal Chaawal to Quesadilla- thank you for rocking it all, mom, my Master Chef!
Thank You, Mom, for Making Me an Optimist
I see the best in people because that is what you taught me. Thank you for teaching me that every cloud has a silver lining.
Thank You, Mom, for Being Selfless
You make sacrifices so that I can have the world to myself. Thank you for giving up on your ‘me’ time to help me with my homework.

Thank You, Mom, for Dealing with My Mood Swings
I remember how you had to tolerate my erratic mood swings as I progressed through my teen years. Thank you for putting up with my insensitive “I HATE YOU”s and all the yelling.
Thank You, Mom, for the Gift of Persistence
You motivate me to pursue my dreams. Thank you for telling me that all great things take time, effort, and determination.
Thank You, Mom, for Acquainting Me with Reality
You taught me that life will not always be flowers and rainbows. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have accepted the reality of life. Thank you for making me work towards achieving my aspirations and not be self-entitled.

Thank You, Mom, for Tucking Me In
Now that I take a U-turn and think about it, I feel grateful because not everyone is blessed with a mom who’d tuck them into bed at night. I sleep well because of you. Thank you, mom!

Thank You, Mom, for Answering Me
You answer my exasperating why’s, what’s, when’s, who’s, where’s and how’s. Thank you for keeping up with my questions, mom!
Thank You for Encouraging Me to Ask Questions
You also told me that it was okay to ask questions because knowledge is power, and I couldn’t learn if I didn’t ask. Thank you for that too!

Thank You, Mom, for Being My First Friend
Our bond is unbreakable and shall last for eternity because God assigned you as my friend. You are the only person I can confide in. You are there for me when I am miserable, ecstatic, muddled, or furious. It took me many years to see you as my best friend, and I can’t thank you enough for your friendship!

Thank You for Teaching Me the Importance of Family
You taught me what unconditional love felt like. Mom, you gave me everything you had without expecting anything in return. You are the reason I am who I am today. Thank you for being the reason I prioritize family over everything else.
Thank You for Telling Me that it is Okay to Be Myself
You made me realize that it’s okay to be myself because I am my only competition. Thank you for motivating me to become the best version of myself.
You are my only constant in this changing world. I am so lucky and proud to be able to call you my mom. I sometimes feel undeserving of your unprecedented love. For all the times I didn’t say it but should have…. thank you, Mom. Although I am much older now, thank you for not abandoning me in a shopping cart and running away. I love you, mom!
