After being quarantined for what seemed like an eternity, I couldn’t wait to come back to campus and resume my old routine. Each day was exceedingly harder to get through. However, due to the rules regarding social distancing being observed, it’s all not quite the same yet. Back when we didn’t see masked faces all around campus there was a constant buzz of excitement amongst the students.

The never-ending events made the fall semester pass by as a big blur of music, entertainment and a whole lot of fun. But now most of us stay in our own social bubbles with very little interaction with the rest of the student body which is quite unusual for everyone. Nonetheless, I still feel that we have all found new ways to enjoy this peaceful and relaxed time on campus.
Lazy Mornings
Since the attendance has been relaxed, we all find ourselves coming to campus later than we normally would have; Some still come early to avail the faculty parking service. After which we rush straight to class or to find an appropriate spot to take the class online. I believe Aman CED is the best place to go when the Wi-Fi isn’t working well in the library. Unlike the library, here at CED, students can actively participate in the class without disturbing others around them. After which we can enjoy the morning breeze with a cup of chai outside, under the tree canopy.

What We Eat in a Day
Attending the morning slots feels like a victory in its self. As a reward, we immediately head off to fend for ourselves. I think the biggest feat is deciding where to eat when a number of people have different things to eat. Since KU canteens have opened, some would head off to get tikka biryani while others to Maskan to enjoy different eateries.
Once the break is over, we either get occupied with classes again or we head off to the student center to chill. The student center isn’t as crowdy as it was but the same can’t be said for the lounge which seems like the one place every “friend group” decides to go to.

Hit The Books
With the afternoon coming to an end, the guilt of not being productive enough dawns upon us so naturally we head off to the library. After all someone has to catch up with all the lectures that we miss on account of ruined sleep schedules and the urgent need to watch Netflix during class. The library has a cozy feel to it with the warm lights and the comfortable sofas which can make anyone fall asleep.
Sunset Gazing

Before going home, the best thing to do is grab chai and fries from the café then heading to the football field. Here you will witness one of IBA’s greatest gifts to us: the heavenly sunset. The cotton candy skies paired with friends, laughter, and soft music: A perfect way to unwind after a long day.

Reminiscing
We are swamped with deadlines, assignments and internships these days but these will forever remain the best days of our lives. Soon, we will look back and reminisce about the amazing memories we created with our friends. All those late night study sessions, chai at Safeet, long drives and ranting about our workload. Surely, we took life at IBA for granted but times like these make us realise how much we miss the campus. Even now we sit and remember the hustle bustle of pre-corona times, eagerly waiting for the mega events again.

You guys are doing an amazing job like I cannot press on it enough. I hope I’ll get into IBA and meet you all iA
Thankyou so much, it really means alot. Can’t wait to welcome you to IBA ☺️
Being limited to the city campus handicaps the IBA experience but hopefully someday we can enjoy the full experience.
I understand that it was quite unfair for the freshmen to start their life at IBA this way but (and I can’t stress on this enough) you all have so much to look forward to in the coming years when hopefully corona will cease to exist.
