Yes I’m an addict….a coffee addict
If you are a caffeine addict like me, I bet your day doesn’t start unless you haven’t gulped down a large mug of coffee. The first day that I entered IBA, I distinctly remember dragging my friends around in hopes of finding coffee that didn’t taste like a sachet of Nescafe instant mix- which is more like sweetened milk with a tiny drop of coffee essence. Let’s be honest it really doesn’t taste that great. finally, I found a IBA cafe that served amazing coffee: woke.
Love is in the air and it smells like coffee
Woke has a great variety of beverages, ranging from sweet to bitter, hot to cold, whatever your preference. My personal favorite is their iced latte; a delicious combination of hot espresso, cold milk, and a truckload of ice. The cafe offers a well-blended drink at a reasonable price of Rs. 220, which to be fair is pretty economical considering the market price for iced lattes is Rs. 300-400.
Living in Karachi means that summers exist here for eight out of twelve months. Hence, making an iced latte a perfect drink for coffee lovers like me. Moreover, if you prefer something less strong than a latte, then there’s always an option of a frappe.
Subsequently, if you want to warm your hearts as well as your palms then there’s always hot coffee. Woke offers americano, cappuccino, latte, etc.

However, woke doesn’t only specialize in beverages. It has one of the best paninis and loaded fries to offer on campus. The freshly grilled panini is a great go-to light snack for students who are always running late to class.
The big windows and comfortable sofas create a cozy atmosphere beckoning students to come in and hang out with their friends. The next time you want to take a moment to unwind and have a cup of coffee, you now know a place in your university.
