Moreover, Learnovate is not only a platform where students can learn new skills but is also a way for individuals to pass on their skill to the younger generation, by signing up as an instructor.

Founders of Learnovate

Learnovate is the brainchild of Talat Zubair and Sahar Akhbar, both computer science graduates from IBA. Alongside their degree, both of the founders have had experiences with teaching: Sahar Akhbar has conducted classes and workshops regarding Arts and Craft and Talat Zubair has previously taught disabled children at IBP and has also been a supervisor at TCF. Through their combined passion for teaching, they decided to create a platform where individuals belonging to various age groups and backgrounds would be able to learn useful skills.

The journey of Learnovate

The founders funded the start-up through their savings and utilized it in purchasing a website and funding the marketing campaign. Their efforts were fruitful as 80 students from different cities of Pakistan, as well as from UAE and Saudi Arabia signed up for the courses. The feed-back from the students was positive, which further encouraged the founders to create new courses.

Learnovate’s future goals

The founders of Learnovate have plans to expand their website by introducing an LMS portal and a live video platform—to improve the overall class experience and remove their dependency on third-party apps such as Zoom. Furthermore, the start-up has launched a set of new courses starting from 24th August; the courses include resume writing for budding to-be-graduates to a marketing course for ambitious small business owners.
