The powerhouse that never gave up!

Always believed that hard work and hardships bear its fruit when it is the right time. But never thought that I would genuinely cherish this difficult phase; it never felt like a hurdle. In fact, always bolstered my confidence to tackle those obstacles with an even more fierce spirit to strike the goal. It was when I did not have the family of the team I hold close to my heart today. Neither did the emotions of the skills required to keep the family bound were there. No rules, no guidance of a mentor and no home to nurture our abandoned souls.

Optimism and hard work pays off

But it only took a year of relentless drive and optimism to keep welcoming and training girls. Giving them the direction and the vision to delve into the world of football was my motive. Also motivating them and inspiring to build a parallel world of quality time-their time; to help them vent all their stress away to the freshness of the cool windy evenings. In the silent and calm rustling of the crispy leaves, in the drowning depth of the crimson sun, while grazing against the lush green grassy fields in our toes and kicking the footballs up in the sea of dense clouds like shredding away all our despair and misfortunes of the week.

The achievements of IBA Girls Football Team

Founding a whole football team representing IBA, fighting to make a historic entry into the HEC national tournament in 2018. It helped inspire girls to train at 7 a.m. in the chilly winters. Keeping the fervor throughout regardless of the outcome. It embedded in the players to not worry about the competition but to try their best. It has helped me groom my own self.

Not a team, but a family

Building a family that I am proud of and fostering that love with the same pulse has grounded me immensely. It has been an expedition that our team of 16  committed and dedicated girls left for with the ferocity. We worked to make ourselves proud. And captivate the world not with just our victories but more so, with our passionate performances. Also with our strategic diligence and our undying sports ethics, that we never forgot despite who our opponents were.

Together, our team faced the storms of many failures after which we got up only more resilient. A whole pandemic through which we still managed to bring 3 victory cups that presently adorn the shelves of the sports room, and the unfortunate neglect of the women sports fraternity which we managed to fight through every time to give all women equal facilities and privileges as the boys.

By the way, during the pandemic online games were our salvation. I tried a lot of different platforms, but Slotogate is a general favorite among them. Here you can find a wide range of slot machines and an impressive variety of table games, such as let it ride payout table. Plus, they offer a lot of attractive bonuses. Miss that time when me and my girls were diving into the online world after playing football in real life.

Sincere dedication towards the goal united us all

We are a Family more than a Team

It was a great depiction of a sincere team which was a source of entertainment during the Olympiad held in November 2020 when our girls’ football team split up into two to compete against and still supported each other as we were still one family. The girls’ football team at IBA has emerged to be extremely influential and impactful in the past 3 years among all sports, bringing  great honor to IBA despite having no coach and swaggering along the history of achievements for women in sports, paving a new perception for the aspiring girls  who want to explore extracurricular but are hesitant to.

Lastly, the most recent accomplishment of the girls’ football team  that is bound to be mentioned is the recent Futsal League where there was a record-breaking participation of approximately 80 girls from IBA who came together to let their spirits free in this refreshing and exhilarating sport. I am proud to share that there has been an accelerated enthusiasm from the girls’ community to join the team and learn football ever since the league and really hope that the legacy continues to make a roar even after I have graduated.
